Founder of J. Stephen Boyd, CPA, PSC, Stephen has over 35 years of experience in individual and business tax preparation, financial planning and insurance services. Prior to founding his CPA practice Stephen worked several years at General Electric experiencing the accounting areas of Ledger, Manufacturing Cost Analysis, and Financial Analysis.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, Stephen obtained his MBA from Bellarmine University. Stephen is a Certified Public Accountant, and Registered Representative at Avantax™ Wealth Management with Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses. Stephen has been helping individuals and families pursue their financial goals since 1988, as well as helping small businesses and their employees reach their retirement goals. His experience, commitment, and knowledge will only help to serve you in the best way possible.

Stephen is a 20 year member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) organization and over 30 year member of The Gideons International. Stephen is a past-president of the Kentucky Chapter of NATP and past Treasurer of the Kentucky State Association of The Gideons International as well as many roles in local community outreach and businesses.
